چکیده

Bondstress-slip models of externally bonded FRP plates have long been quantified using push/pull shear tests in which the joint is slightly greater than effective length plate. This inhibits formation a frictional component that may arise joints. Moreover, previous researchers used several factors to represent bondstress-slip model parameters gave rise number models. With mind, first aim this study was assess affect (τmax, δ1 and δmax), propose simplified bilinear correlates well with experimental data. The second objective predict develops plated flexural members partial-interaction displacement-based approach, investigate debonding mechanism component. As such, database consisting 98 pull/push available open literature assembled influence parameters. Subsequently, proposed validated against 288 test results. Next, 8 beams were investigated analysis where it seen depended largely on members. Also, poor correlation results observed when without analysis, predicted ultimate strength 66 – 78% value. findings illustrate importance considering model, how strength, deformation ductility member.

Durability of the Bonding Performance of Frp-concrete Interface Externally Bonded with Frp Composite Sheet

The strengthening of concrete structures externally bonded with fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) sheet is increasingly being used for repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. This paper provides information in the area of long-term durability of FRP-concrete interface externally bonded with FRP composite sheet. It mainly discusses and summarizes the influence of harsh environmental expos...

Debonding-Related Strain Limits for Externally Bonded FRP Sheets in Flexurally Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Beams

Debonding problems of externally bonded fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets in flexurally FRP-strengthened reinforced concrete (RC) beams have been a concern and a research challenge since their application of this strengthening technique. Intermediate crack induced debonding is the most common failure mode which is that the debonding initiates at the critical flexural-shear or flexural crack...

Fatigue-loading effect on RC beams strengthened with externally bonded FRP

Externally bonded carbon-epoxy fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRPs) have been widely used to restore or increase the capacities of reinforced concrete beams (Meier et al., 1992; Neale and Labossière, 1997; Varastehpour and Hamelin, 1997). A typical reinforced concrete bridge deck may experience up to 7x10 stress cycles during the course of a 120year life span (Barnes and Mays, 1999), while an over...
